Y460P : Can't replace the delete key [ Edited ]

[Question]

I removed the delete key because it was not pressing down correctly. After cleaning the area under the key, i tried to snap the key back on like what i've done with the other laptop keys...position it into slot and press down.

However for some reason the key will not clip into position....the left side of the key hooks into position, but the right side does not hook onto anything.

Uh...hello?

I called the service center and they insisted on replacing the whole keyboard, which is way too expensive....

Any alternatives?

Sent them an email, now waiting for a response...

I dont understand why service centers dont replace individual keys though. Think about it :

-Someone's keyboard has to be replaced
-Service center replaces the keyboard
-They now have a faulty keyboard with lots of working keys
-Keep keyboard, use the keys as spare parts
