Hi saravanadurai,
how hot is hot? Download "Hardware Monitor", run it for a day and post your findings...
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
Temperatures of my Y560p in air-conditioned environment at 25 deg C (not gaming)...

Hi saravanadurai,
one picture says more than a thousand words ![]()
your Y460p temps are pretty much in the ball park, just a wee bit higher then on my Y560p.... reason may be...
- these are not precision measurements, so expect about +/- 5% measuring tolerance,
- the Y560p is bigger than Y460p, ventilation may be better,
- I've elevated the rear of laptop by two centimeters ( about one inch ) with rubber feet to aid ventilation and use no tablecloth,
- I do carefully clean the air vents at the bottom every 10 days with a toothbrush, especially the pinholes.
The CPU core temperature always go together with wattage (power) e.g. my screenshot...
48 C (118 F) at 1.24 W ( light use, just running Firefox )
44 C (111 F) at 0.70 W ( idle )
84 C (183 F) at 45.42 W ( pedal to the metal ! )
Would be educational to have other Y460p/Y560p owners post HWmonitor screenshots here.
hope this brings to you peace of mind... happy computing
