Y470 Small Flicker(or out of sync) at top of screen while playing videos [ Edited ]

Hi,

I see a very smal flicker(I don't know if its called flicker or something like out of sync) while playing videos on my

y470 laptop. I thought it was a problem with the screen but I could replicate it on an external monitor too. Its not specific

to any media player and I can see this problem on youtube videos also.

I have the latest Intel and Nvidia video drivers.

I tried capturing screen shot of the artifact but it did not work. So I just modified an image to show this problem. See how the top of the laptop image is a bit out of sync with the rest of the image.  It gets very irritating sometimes.

I am on the latest BIOS and video drivers

have you tried to change power management settings?
( balanced or high power )

I see same problem on linux also ... I guess its hardware
