I had purchased a Y470p from the Outlet with an Intel Centrino 1000BGN card.
Device manager sees the wifi chip, but FN + F5 indicates that I need to "turn the hardware switch on." Intel ProSet diagnostics show that the hardware switch is turned off (it is not) and thus wifi would not work.
Additionally, I no longer can see Bluetooth under Device Manager.
When I originally bought the computer, it had the terrible buzzing noise on the headphones jack, so I sent it in for repairs. They fixed that (no buzz/static) but now it seems like they might've forgotten to place a bluetooth module in the new mobo and connect the wifi switch.
Could this be a software issue? I've downloaded the drivers from the Lenovo site and from Intel directly with no success. Not sure what to do about the bluetooth.

Hi
Welcome to Lenovo Community
Since after pressing FN +F5 says Wifi switch is Off and also Intel ProSet diagnostics
That means the hardware switch is not either turned on , or not functioning properly
If you have switch on the hardware switch but still it is showing same message then I suggest you
should visit the nearest service center
Hope This Helps
Cheers!!!
