IdeaPad Y480 Laptop - 209386U -- $949
IdeaPad Y480 Laptop - 209388U -- $799
209386U comes with a 1TB + 32gb SSD
Does 209388U has a slot to insert/add ssd on my own later down the road. There is a $150 difference for extra 32 gb SSD is just ridiculous. I can get 90 gb SSD for less than $60 and install myself.
Will the 209388U support SSD drive? If it supports can I add more than 32 gb?
I chatted with Lenevo sales rep, these idiots have no clue what SSD means. It is just waste of my time. One guy said 209388U does not support or does not have a slot to add SSD. Today, another idiot said 209388U has a slot to add SSD. I looked at the Lenevo's online manual for Y480
Can someone give me a correct answer.

But msata ssd is expensive...
Back to the topic, the normal way to do this, is to replace the original hdd with a ssd, install windows, then use the hdd to replace cd drive. You need to buy a hdd caddy, and also maybe a cd to usb enclosure. Then you will have 128g ssd (I think most people buy this size) + 1t hdd, you wont use cd much anyway.
