Hi,
i´ve been looking for information about how to create a factory restore disk for my Y530 laptop. I try with OKR but only let me create a full backup image of 58GB at maximum compression. I bought it a couple of months ago and i don´t want to backup it all, just the stuff that came originally with the laptop (windows, drivers and software).
How can i do that? Is there recovery disks to purchase, download or get from support?
Thanks in advance.
Best,
Andrés M.

You can perform following:
1) Get Acronis Disk Director Suite or Paragon Partition Manger,
2) With help of this software change hidden partition type to 0x7 (7h), unhide it
3) Boot into windows and copy factory.wsi file and coresponding image files from ex-hidden partition
4) Run OKR 6 software from Windows and create recovery disk from this image
5) Revert changes you've made with hidden partition
6) Voila!!

i used paragon partition manager 9.0 pro and works fine in vista 64bits (in some forums i read it doesn´t)
this shold be a little easier
maybe with an option trough OKR6, or just placing this files in the LENOVO (D
visible partition.
Gracias nuevamente por tu ayuda!!!
Saludos!!!

Hello Skripatch,
I was trying to follow your suggestions about creating the recovery disk since I am in same situation as the originator of the post. (Don't want to back up all the data..the limit on D partition is 29 GB while the backup is about 70 GB)
I could not get to the desired results, may be I did not understand the instructions properly.
I can see two partitions on my hard disk
One is local disk C
other is Lenovo D.
Using the Paragon Partition Manager, I see that both of my partitions are unhidden.
But I could not see any factor.wsi file in "Lenovo D" partition.
Please can you guide me in more details.
Thanks for your help.

there is a third partition which is hidden. You have to do de steps 1 and 2 that Skripatch post to unhide it and view the files to build the factory recovery discs

Hello Andresmdo,
I saw the third partition. Unhide it and then restarted the computer. Still I cannot see that partition on "My Computer".
After unhiding, the Paragon Partition Manager shows that prtition in red color and says it is unformated.
I am not able to understand this.
Do I need to do anything extra.
Can I make the copy of this partition and try using it.
Thanks for your help

Hello,
Finally I succeeded in viewing the hidden partition, but stuk up with another problem.
I still cannot write the recovery dvd with One Key Recovery 6.0
This is what I did:
I have initially 2 partitions, C = 254 GB and D (Lenovo) @ 28 GB
The one hidden partition is 14 GB
I made some space by reducing the size of C partition.
Then copied the hidden partition using "Paragon".
Then Unhide this new partition and change partition ID to 07.
Then I could see the factory.wsi and its images there.![]()
I copied them to the another folder on C drive
Started One key using Desktop icon.
Pointed it to the factory.wsi files copied to C drive.
It asked for blank dvd.
Inserted one.
When it started to gather files for burning
Aafter about 45 sec, it threw out the initial dvd without writing anything.
Then I got the error ![]()
Fail: error code 0xE0DD001F
An internal program error has occured
Dont know what to do here after
I have been following skripatch and other's posts about this.
No luck so far.
Are there any hopes !!
I don't have any external USB optical drives.
Does anybody has an idea about how to combine .wsi files using another software if possible.
Thanks for any advice / suggestions.
Regards,
md1
