Y530 - spdif question

Today im going to buy Lenovo Y530 but one thing is holding me. I really need to know if y530 have got spdif output. All specifications doesnt mention about spdif but i found these information in Y530 User Guide on 15 page and it says Headphone jack (S/PDIF)(external) "VISIT" . Does it mean that every model of Y530 have got spdif out ?

I need quick anwser becouse i want to buy it today.

If anyone who have y530 could check it for me, here is what to do:

1. Stop all sounds

2. In Sound (Control Panel > Sound), set SPDIF Interface as default

3. Play some music

4. Check if there is red light inside headphone output (3,5mm jack)

Please anwser asap.

For everyone who want to know if Lenovo y530 has got spdif out, here are informations from 1st hand. It has got optical spdif out shared with headphones minijack output. I just checked it, it plays really great with logitech z-5500.

Hello, dear owners of Y530.

I decided to check SPDIF...you don't need anything to make this output avaible, just put something there it can be needle, trust me but don't try The easiest way is to put 1mm of minijack there with 20deegres angle...

Witam, postanowiłem sprawdzić czy Y530 faktycznie posiada wyjście cyfrowe tzw. SPDIF.

Po głębszej analizie wejścia słuchawkowego zauważyłem, że na samym końcu jest taki "dzyndzelek" którego nie ma w wejściu mikrofonowym. Po włożeniu szpilki pod delikatnym kątem wejście obudziło się bez żadnych zmian systemowych...poprostu zaczyna działać w momencie gdy coś sie włoży do portu.

Nie radzę sprawdzać nikomu igłą lub szpilką ale bez problemu można spróbować z mini-jack-em.

Dzisiaj zakupiłem przejściówkę z toslink > minijack..otrzymam ją za jakieś 4 dni, więc wtedy napisze czy to faktycznie działa..
