Y550P not coming out of hibernation, running Win7-64SP1. Recurring issue.
I often put my Y550P into hibernation mode, allowing it to completely 'power down' before shutting the lid.
When I try to wake it, I open the lid and press the power button. The laptop powers up but the screen stays blank, I can hear HDD spin once, and then it's all quite and dark, with only power LED on.
Since I can't use GUI, I simply power down by holding the power button until "shutdown", wait a minute and then try to power up again. Recently, it's taken me about about 7 powering cycles to bring laptop back to life, at which time it resumes the saved pre-hibernation session.
I've read forums here and have not seen anyone with similar issue. Can it be a power cable? or BIOS? Any support is much appreciated.

in Power Management for Intel (R) WiFi Link 5300 AGN I unchecked "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
I will post a comment in a few hours, after several hibernation/waking cycles to check the solution's effectiveness.
Thank you.
