Hi, i've got a Y560 that's having issues with games (League of Legends, etc) and will shut down in the middle of games randomly. I've done an overheating test with FurMark, but that doesn't seem to be the issue, so my next option is to update the BIOS.
I'm trying to use the latest one, but every time i try to update it (even right after restarting the comp), the update fails saying 'Enable chipset/platform/flashdevice failed, Error Code -144'. The entire keyboard/mousepad are then unresponsive (USB mouse still works) and i have to restart the computer to get it back to normal. I am running as administrator, so i'm not sure what my next step should be, any advice? Thank you so much.

Do you have the newer Y560p?

Hey, thanks for replying. I believe i am using the Y560p and I'll look into the other thread.
My current version is the Lenovo 3FCN19WW, 2/11/2011. Trying to update to the 30CN71WW64. Thanks again!

Aaand i am an idiot. Forgot that i was using a 560p instead of a 560. Got their new BIOS and it updated fine. Hopefully that'll fix the gaming problem. Thanks
