Hello, I did a fresh install on my y560 to get away from the super slow booting/performing rapid drive. Now I have everything working pretty well outside of being able to watch blu rays. The software was called something like Lenovo Movie Player but it really was some cyber link software. I've looked on the driver/software page but it's no where to be found. Everything else has lead me to having to buy some software like powerdvd.

Hello again, I installed that software and tried watching a blu ray. It needed to download a patch. The patch gives me an error everytime I try to update it.

Hi Maule,
you may try to play your Bluray disks with free omnivorous VLC media player...

please note that Bluray capability still seems to be a bit experimental at present,
good Luck... Zehn

Nice find on that Zehn. I don't think that update used to be available from Cyberlink. I have found Total Media 5 to work quite well for playing Bluray too.
