Hi, I am currently using lenovo y560 with core i7 720 QM , 4gb ddr3 1066, 500 HDD 5400 rpm and ati mobility radeon 5730 and im thinking about adding an internal PCI- Express SSD because I want more speed.
So I checked at the Lenovo Rapid Drive technology and at that thread it said that "when you order" your laptop you can choose to get an extra SSD in order to make this enhanced windows experience.
So, I just have a question:
Can I manualy install a SSD into my lenovo y560? Does it support it now, after I aleready bought mine without SSD?
Here is the link to the SSD that I want to buy:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8
and also another small rather stupid question:
Will the speed improve significantly if I buy 4 gb of ddr3 1866 and should i replace the 4gb ddr3 1066 or just add them because I know that this laptops supports up to 8gb of ram?

I could be wrong, but that belongs to a desktop. The y560 uses Mini Pci Express slots. 3 of them I believe. You'll need to find a mini one, and from what I remember seeing on the forums, It works awesomely.

Yes, your right. That wasn't for desktop but it wasn't mini also. The prices for mini are lower... but they offer slower speeds.. but anyway I think its worth it.
About the RAM:
Anyway I checked and I think that y560 supports up to 1333 MHz DDR3 only.
I need some confirmation about these things so the question remains:
Does y560 support only mini PCI-E SSD or it supports PCI-E SSD-s
and
Does it support only up to 1333MHz DDR3 or Higher?
