Greetings,
I have a problem with the Broadcom NetLink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet device on my Y560 laptop. In the device manager the mentioned device has an exclamation mark on it and says "The device cannot start. (Code 10)". The drivers seem to be up to date. The problem occured one day out of the blue, nothing's been changed, nothing tampered with.
I tried everything, disabling, uninstalling, updating drivers, I even reinstalled my operating system. I'm using Windows 7... The problem is still here.
It's preventing me from connecting to the internet via cable which leaves me with this barely tolerable wireless. (I'm currently in Bangkok, and the place where I live has really really **bleep**ty wireless)
Cheers folks, any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks for such a fast response.
Though it didn't solve my problem. I did exactly what you said, he actually found the drivers, installed them properly and everything. The drivers are from the CD I got along with the laptop. They worked fine till two days ago when it went bananaz on me.
Tried to check the device status in safe mode - says it can't, and when I got back to normal mode with the drivers successfuly and properly installed the exclamation mark was still there as well as the message "This device cannot start (Code 10)."
Could it be a hardware problem? Is there a way to check that?
Cheers,
Dom
