The battery is staying at 95% after noticing it at 97% without charging.
I first noticed this a few weeks ago to which I simply unplug and earplugged the AC adapter which fixed it. Now, that doesn't work anymore. I have tried to boot the laptop with battery only and replug the ac without success. I removed the battery and place it back with the lock on which also led to failure. I tried the boot only on AC and uninstall microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery which simply brought it back on the next boot up and did not start charging my battery.
The lenovo energy management is left on optimize for battery runtime and nothing is charging. I have the latest driver for 64.
I have yet to call support and I bought this laptop back in beginning June.
Any other suggestions?

I see that you've unplugged it from the AC Adaptor and plugged it back. Have you tried unplugging the AC Adaptor from the wall, leaving it unplugged for a few minutes, ingand then try it again?
Don't ask me why this works, but it has worked for me for other laptops I have owned. It's worth a shot.

Anyone know a way to get this problem fixed without sending the laptop to lenovo? I keep reading **bleep**ty things about their customer service, so I want that to be a last resort
My problem is identical: Y560P, when plugged in not charging. I tried using one of my friend's Ideapad chargers and it didn't work, so the problem's probably in the connector.
