Hi... just for Info!
I treated my Y560p, i7-2630QM, AMD HD 6570M, RAM 8GB, Win7-64bit
to one additional USB port by installing a 1 port USB 3.0 ExpressCard/34...

The driver on the included mini-CD was very old and buggy...
I found the latest all in one driver (dated 2011-10-26) for the Fresco Logic FL-1000 chip set here...

All works great!
USB 2.0 copies with avg 20 MB/s, USB 3.0 with avg 70 MB/s, which is approximately 3-fold speed,
tested with a new empty, external USB 3.0, 1TB HDD (Samsung HN-M101MBB),
a Y-Cable (with one additional USB 2.0 plug for more power), and always the same 700MB folder with mixed content.
HDD seems to be the Bottleneck.
Note: This is no benchmark test, just real life performance you could/should expect from a setup like mine!
