I've had my Ideapad for about a week and got an error trying to start up this morning.
Windows failed to start. A recent harware or software change might be the cause.
Status: 0xc000000f
Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inacessable.
I tried to get to the bios menu to make sure it was set to boot from cd first so i could try the recovery disk I made. I know the disk works on my other laptop. I get into a menu during startup where I can select Windows 7 or Tools: Windows Memory Diagnostic. Both options lead me to the same error code again.
Any Ideas how I can fix this? It doesnt seem like I can't get into anything. I Havent even move my laptop from the desk since i got it.

Hi dangeresque49
If I am not wrong, the hard drive on your IdeaPad could be failing. I would suggest you contact Tech Support to look into this.
Have a nice day!

That really sucks. I have never had any part of a laptop fail in a week, so I was skeptical to assume it was a hardware failure. It makes me wonder how much I can trust lenovo refurbs.

That would depend on luck also. This would happens even with other manufacturer regardless of first hand or refurbished product.
