Does the Y570 with i7 2670QM support 1600MHz Ram modules or only 1333MHz??

No you can use the 1600 or the 1066 as well, it's documented in one of the manuals.

And if I buy 1600 they will run on their actual frequency, not 1333 right?

Ususally the system will run it at the fastest speed it can. So there would be no reason to get 1600 ram unless its cheeper.

Hello,
Are you sure it is 1333? Because some sources say that the i7 can support up to 1600. Strange , I though that the maximum was 1333 but then I saw the cheap 8GB 1600 kit

Hell if its equal to or cheeper then a 1333 kit why not try it. For all we know you could prove us wrong.

I'm not entirely sure that its cheaper, I just saw some kits on Amazon.com and the 8GB (2x4) was like 43 $

If you can get 8GB (2x4) 1600Mhz for $43 you'd be mad not to buy it, seeing it's compatible and it could get to that speed with the right bios. Because I don't believe there is a hardware reason why it can't get to 1600Mhz but rather a software reason.
