I picked up a Y730 a few months ago. Recently, I've noticed a considerable amount of stop and start while gaming (specifically after upgrading to Windows 7). I ran CPUID Hardware Monitor, and I found that while gaming the Core Temperature of my processors are running at around 80 degrees Celsius. The GPU temperature is running at around 75 degrees C.
I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this kind of overheating or had a similar experience after upgrading. I thought it might be the drivers/software - so I reinstalled everything. I've ordered a laptop cooler that should arrive on Monday, but I wanted to see if this was normal or if something was potentially wrong with my system.
