Hi ,
My question is regarding the support of SATA III type HDD / SSD in this laptop - Ideapad Z565. The southbridge is reported in AIDA64 as AMD SB800/850 ( the second one provides support for SATA III , but the first one doesnt). So what is it in fact? Thanks in advance

Hi Serge1410,
Thanks for your reply. As per the the document at the link u provided it clearly states - z565 has AMD M880G Chipset, SB820M south bridge. I found the datasheet for SB820M on the AMD website and it says:
"Supports six Third generation SATA ports (backward compatible with Second and First generation devices).
This was actually the info i needed. I am planning to put SATA 3 SSD on Ideapad Z565 and hope it will work on the speed of 6 Gb.
So thanks again for your help.
