Z570 - Displayed colors issue [ Edited ]

I have a new Z570 IdeaPad.  I have notice a strange thing with the displayed colors. The red color looks to be orange instead of read. Blue becomes a little green but it is not so visible as in case of the red.  It appears no matter if I launch Windows7 or Ubuntu.

 I can see a real red when I connect my notebook to the TV via HDMI or D-Sub therefore I assume this is a problem of the build in display. it is adding to much of the yellow color.  

Does anyone have the same problem?

How to solve it if at all possible?

Is there any way to modify the colors temperature as in case of desktop monitors?

hi ficus04,
have you tried to change/modify the colors via graphic card control panel? also, if you upload a screen preview, it helps us to diagnose the issue.

Hi Yigit,

The screen preview will not tell you much. It will show the oryginal coolrs as shown by the graphic card. My TV displays those colors correctly. It does it also in case other correctly working notebooks.

For the test I am using manualy created pictures (all read 255,0,0; all blue 0,255,0 etc.) to be dispalyed on the full screen.

I tried to modify the color setings by the NVIDIA panel but I had impression it does not help. I went back to the shop to check other pieces of the same model (3). The result was- red is orange.

Is it a faulty production part or all of them require some updates or calibrations?

I see the red labels on the Lenovo page as orange.

i'm not sure if it helps but can you try to flash bios update and/or re-installing the graphic card drivers?

also, please, check if the color issue persists on safe mode.

Are there any tabs or fields in BIOS that I could see and which are responsable for the display color setup?

to be honest, bios file doesn't include any changes on color management but you'll never know if it works. you can skip that part if you don't want to flash bios but re-installing graphic card drivers may solve the issue.

I have just realized that I did a mistatke in the model number - it is the Z570 not the Z560. Does it change something?

Do you know something more about the Z570 display problems?

not much difference, still, i updated the link above. you can try download/re-install the drivers. about the display problems, due to i don't have it, i'm not aware of it but you can search the forum.

OK. I couldn't find much apart from one issue with the Y560.

I am about to return this notebook.
