Hello everyone,
I have the Z570 (i3, 8GB, gt520) and so far it is an excellent laptop. I went to upgrade the hard drive from 500GB to 1TB and when I screwed the case back on, i noticed the screws had degraded significantly. I then tried to unscrew the screws and it was very difficult. Why do the screws degrade so quickly and where can I get some more?

Hello Greg0986 and welcome to community,
Screw usually degraded due to rust or not using proper screw driver.
You can get the genuine and all parts from Lenovo authorized service center.
Kindly contact the support center to get the service center detail.

Is that £5 per minute of 5p per minute?!?

A quick look online and I found this. It says the screws should only be used once. This is from the hardware manual for the Z570.
