Hi again johanisberg,
i'm very sorry to hear that things have gone worse,
however before you send it in,i would try this last thing.
You see all of what you told me,i have heard before, and there is a chance
that it can be fixed.
İ would go to W.7 support, register and then write what you have written here,
just don't mention anything re this known problem with this model .
İn other words,just write what's wrong,with the laptop.That's all.
They have professional staff there, which are very good.
And they answer quickly.
Do try it,you have nothing more to lose.

Do let me know, how you go,and if you do need to send it for service after all,
please come back and let us know what they report back to you.

Just FYI, I found this thread the other day from about a month or so ago. Looks like the repair center we sent it to didn't do anything to our computer first time...round two TBD....

Hi again,
look the problem you are experiencing is obviously widespread,
by the looks of it.
İ was aware of that post, and a number of others, reporting the same.
There are some common points made, the most important one being,
leaving the laptop on sleep overnight.
That's obviously something to avoid, with this particular model.
İ assume at the repair centre, when testing your pc,they don't do that.
İn any case,at this point i would send it in,WİTH A NOTE,MENTİONİNG THİS FACT.
Write it in bold big letters, and stick it on the laptop case.
You don't mention if you posted at the W.7 Forums,
NOR whether you made a W.7 System Repair Disc,as i asked earlier.
But now all that can be done is to send it in,and let us know what happens.
We'll keep in touch.

Thanks,
Sorry I forgot to reply to your other questions. I did contact W.7 but they couldn't help because I can't turn the computer on. They didn't seem to know of any problem like this dealing with windows 7 and refer to it as a hardware issue. As for the disc. I do have one but still will not help with no pwer. We are sending it in. I will update this post when and if they tell me what was wrong.
It's a shame that they have cheapened the quality of their laptops.
Thanks again.

İ have come to believe that this problem is a hardware issue for sure.
and that the battery among other things seems to be at fault. as well.
Yes lets wait and see what they'll do and tell you.
Hope they'll fix it for you.

Countrywise,
So here's another wrinkle in this whole Z570 problem.
First, called repair center and they said to make sure it's not the A/C adapter they are sending me a new one. I have been on vacation for the last two weeks and just got back so I should be receiving the new adaptor tomorrow, even though I am pretty sure that is not the problem considering I am charging the computer right now. YES I am CHARGING and USING the computer that would not boot up 3 weeks ago right now. We got home today and just being curious we tried it and low and behold it came on...sooo...I have tried updating all of the things you said to.
Graphics Intel - it said I already had a more current version installed on my computer,
NAVIDA - Said it couldn't find a compatible version to update,
Power management -said the same thing as Graphics, and
BIOS - got a flash failed! Message
So after all that. The computer is working at the moment. My guess is, since this happened last time (left sit for 2 weeks, then tried it and it turned on after all of the same symptoms), once I power down it will not power up again...
Soo again I am at a loss, but intend to still send in this week as I can't have a computer that works whenever it feels like it...
Thanks,
(Edit for spelling errors)

Hi again johanisberg,
ok,to make sure that i understand you correctlyso
you didn't send the laptop in,you simply left it home,
and now two weeks later it started up.
Let me make a few points,
1.Before you go updating anything in the future,
please check on which version you may have currently installed,
then compere it with the version offered at the Lenovo site.
İf you find that the version offered is NEWER than the one you've got,
then and only then try to do the update.
As you know driver updates can be a messing business,so always check first,
rather then put the pc through unneccassary stress.
only to be told, taht the update you have already is newer.
The BİOS especially can be tricky, did you read the NOTES
Important information
Lenovo strongly suggests rebooting the system before applying the BIOS update.
Fixes and enhancements
Latest Version BIOS fixed all merged issues from previous ones.
Change history
44CN38WW:
1 Solved BIOS failed to save boot order issue
2 Solved Intel WLAN failed to work only when CD was selected as the first boot order.
45CN36WW:
Fixed the hang up issue when installing non-OEM version Windows 7 Operation system.
Installation instructions
1. Restart computer.
2. Locate the file 45CN38WW.exe that has been downloaded.
3. Double click the 45CN38WW.exe. For Windows 7, you may run it as administrator by left-clicking on the icon and selecting "Run as administrator".
4. Click "Install".
5. When a window prompt, click "OK".
6. Press Enter to start flashing. During the process, you are advised not to turn off the computer.
7. When the update finishes, the computer will automatically reboot for the changes to take effect.
8. Enter to BIOS menu, load default setting-> save and exit.
9. Please reboot the system again..

2. İt seems to me that pressing the power button repeatedly,
trying to get it to boot, cloged it,
and since it got a rest,it discarged.
İ think it may be worhtwhile to wait and use the new Adapter they're sending you,
then if it doesn't change anything, they can't fault you.
3.Another thing:it may not seem important to you,
and i'm only mentioning it to inform you,
but i would suggest that you avoid the following:
Never leave the laptop on hibernate/sleep again,NOT even during the day
.And certainly NEVER overnight
Wİndows has never really handled it very well,it causes problems of overheating
and having difficulty waking it up again.İt contributes to problems.
4.To save power just dim the screen fn+downward arrow.(to leave it idle)
5.An MVP. whose books i read, recommends to never UNLESS YOU NEED İT TO MAKE A HARD SHUT DOWN
to never turn of the laptop by pressing the power button,
as it may well zap system files.
Especially if Windows Update is on Auto setting, and it installs updates, and you don't know it,
well it can really screw up the system.
İ always click start>shut down, that gives Windows time to shut down safelly.
Now after all that,i CERTAİNLY don't mean to saythat your lappy doesn't need repair.
İt obviously does and you certainly need it to work reliably.
Please keep me informed as to what develops.
İt was good to hear from you again.

Countrywise,
Thanks for responding again. BIOS has been updated and all drivers for everything else are the most current; howvever I guess I still won't know if this fixes the problem or not until it either happens again or not.
Thank you,
Just saw your second reply and thank you for the advice. We will follow it and see what happens. As of right now the computer is working great. Thanks again for all your help.

You're very welcome,
allow me to suggest the following:
1.Use Lenovo's OKR to backup your system, and store that backup
on an external hard drive.
That way when needed you can restore your system.(renew them every now and then)
2.Use Windows own program,to create a system image
of the ENTİRE system and store that system image on a different
external hard drive.(Windows won't like it,if you store anything else,
next to its images) i keep 3 images stored at any time just in case,
one turns out to be corrupt.
İf you need any help with any of that, please feel free to ask.
3.Make a new Windows System Repair Disc,
it may make all the difference,in time of need.
Now that the lappy is working well,(good to hear)is the perfect time to do all of the above.
