Hi,
which version of OKR do you have?
Check if there is a newer version available on the Lenovo site for your model.
To restore to factory settings how did you go about it?
if you tried to do that with the discs you created,
then it' obviously wasn't done properly.
Which discs did you use.?
Some are not suitable,or of not good enough quality.
You can try PHİLİPS DVD-R no problem with them.
TO RESTORE TO FACTORY SETTİNGS
Double click the OKR icon on your desktop and click on 'System Recovery'
a pop up will ask you if you want to reboot the computer to the Recovery Environment
click Yes and then follow the prompts.
You can also do it when the pc is turned off.
But first please try the method above, and let us know how it went..

i think its the default version of OKR im using. the one that is inside my laptop. i think the problem is i am using cheap dvd-r to make my recovery disc. i'll try again later using different disc. just for some curiousity is the factory setting recovery disc for lenovo laptop available. if it does how much does it cost in MYR(malaysian ringgit)

Yes that may well be the problem.
İf the DVD's used are not suitable OR of not good enough quality,
it won't work.
İ use PHİLİPS DVD-R No problems with them.
To your question:
İt's best that you contact Lenovo support in your area,
they will advise you of the cost.
Let us know how you go with the discs.
P.S You can easily find the current OKR Version on your machine,
by going to 'Programs' where your installed programs are listed
you'll see it there like this:Lenovo One Key Recovery and under VERSİON will be the number listed.
Mine is 7.0.1628

it seems that still the same outcome im having. i did use differemt dvd-r disc(sensonic). its there any other way i can use to restore to factory setting other than using the OKR. the only thing that the OKR can detect is the backup that i made inside my d drive. btw i was wondering is it ok if i copy paste the contain inside my finish recovery disc and put it into my backup that i made inside the d drive. will it work if i do like that.

Hi again,
Ok lets take things one at a time
1.Look i'm not familiar with the sensonic brand,
never heard of it,
therefore don't know how good a quality it is.
İt would pay if you try a KNOWN good quality brand,
such as PHİLİPS DVD-R,
You do after all need to be able to burn other things as well, and be confident in the knowledge,
that it was done properly.
So please do try that.
Also in your first post you wrote that you managed to burn the discs 'AFTER A FEW ATTEMPS''
Did you get any errors? İf so what did the errors say?
2.When you say that OKR can ONLY DETECT a backup that you made, please give details as to HOW
and WHAT you did, that gave you that result.
Did you double click the OKR button on your desktop, chose System Recovery,
okeyed the notice that you want to reboot the pc,in the Recovery Environment?
3.Please check the Version of OKR as i have asked you to do,in my earlier post,
where your installed programs are listed
And we'll take it from there.

hello there sorry for taking awhile replying you. and sorry again for not answering your earlier question
1. Actaully i did look for the PHİLİPS DVD-R that you ask me too and got no luck finding any. Is there any substitute brand that i can use to burn my image because im not very familiar with types of quality dvd-r. You see i fail my first attemp making the factory default disc and the error some file was missing some file cannot be detected. Cant remember what file was it but i can remember that during my image making thingy i can remember my windows was updating and it said "do you wan to restart you computer now" and few seconds later the error came out. I dunno whether it affect the image. I was on my 3rd disc when the error happen. I think i was my mistake because i did ignore the "turn off any application" notice. For my 2nd and 3rd with the OKR was succesful because no other apps was on.
2. In the OKR they did give 3 options for the recovery disc type.
i did 2 backup file one in the d-drive and the other using empty dvd-r. The backup image that i said earlier was from the 1st option(recovery disc with existing backup image) and my image was in the d drive.(computer/lenovo(D
/lenovo/OneKey App). And i did obeyed all the instruction given but i the .wsi image from the disc that i made cannot be detected and I only can detecd the .wsi file from the d-drive. The factiory default setting is inside the dvd-r and that is the one that cannot be detected.
3. My OKR version is 7.0.0.3712
I hope this helps you to understand my problem

Yes,SONY or Toshiba come to mind.
1. You can ask at the stores that sell them, for them to recommend good quality ones
2. Yes you have to close all apps.before burning the discs,
and also don't allow Windows to Auto Update, have it to notify you first.
3.The first option that you chose''recovery disc with existing backup image''
4.İt's also good to burn discs,to recover to factory settings.
For that choose 3rd option.factory default recovery disc''
İ think that the discs you burned need to be burned again.
İ'll go check something out,be back soon.
Ok please go to the Lenovo site for your model and check whether a newer verion of OKR is there for download.
i checked but couldn't find the listing.
For my İdeapad Z570 it is listed under 'Software and Utility'
İf there is an update, please update it as OKR may not be working properly.
But also please try the good brand discs, and let us know what happens.

i will try and will tell what happen. Cheers
