Finding videocard is not a big deal. Big deal is finding out if it is compatible either by pins and by physical dimensions.
No one of laptop brands states these parameters.
Sorry by not helping - I doubt this can be found anywhere.

Hello everyone,
I know this question has been asked many times but hasn't been fully answered. I would like for us as a community to figure this out for all the proud Y530 owners out there.
Now I've been looking around the net looking for someone who has successfully upgraded the card. So here are some things that I've found:
- The card is a 256MB Nividia GeForce 9300M GS.
- Its a MXM type card that can be upgraded.
- The 9600M is compatible?
Anyway if anyone can point me in the right direction on what kind of card is known to be successfully able to be upgraded that would be great. I would hate to buy one that I think will fit and end up not ![]()
Also, I was looking into getting something thats at least 512MB card, to narrow it down.
Thanks for everyone's help on this. I think everyone who would want to upgrade their graphics card would be happy to finally see it answered with what options they have.

i also was wondering if this is possible i was looking at the 9600m gt and i want it soo bad but its chips screw pattern is different than the 9300m gs.
all im asking is if i do put it in install the driver for the 9600m gt will it work because i can make a heatsink tie down for it if the card will work

Hi.
Is this possible to change Y550's GT 130M graphic with Y530's 9300M GS?
