press f2 when you see lenovo logo, restore default settings for bios, save and exit.

post back if issue persists.

remove the battery, plug the ac power and check if the issue persists.

edit : using anti-virus by the way? if yes, which one?

i removed the battery five or six days ago . and i tried Ac power. But i have had same problem still...

i am using McAfee AntiVirus Plus. ( free 60 days )

Please help me...

Hello again friends. i send my laptop to the lenovo service. They changed my main board but they didn't give my ex laptop. they gave me a new one But isn't y550p. They gave z560.

So I just got this problem this morning.  Everything was working fine yesterday (I think at least).  When I logged into my computer this morning I noticed that the screen was a bit darker than it usually was.  Low and behold when I tried to change it, the screen did not change brightness.

After a couple of minutes fiddling around with settings, I found a handful of solutions on line.

One of them was to install Alive Idea Desktop and uninstall it (aparently this can cause problems -- I originally uninstalled it soon after I got the computer).  I could not find a palce to install it however, so I was wondering if anyone can point me to a place to find it.

Any other suggestions would be apreciated as to how to fix this problem.
