new disk partioning and one key recover feature

Ok, I wiped my drive of vista and did a fresh install of windows 7. I killed all partitions. I need to know how to recreate the partitions. Yes I used the search function and used the ptedit.exe method, but it didn't work. Help.

if you make any changes on volumes, one key recover stops working. i suggest to contact lenovo support to ship your laptop to resettings the hard disk volumes for defaults.

still, there might a chance to save you, please provide information below :

right click my computer > manage > disk management

post the information about your volumes on disk 0.

I wiped all partitions. Does lenovo send recovery discs?

you can order recovery disks but if you deleted all the volumes - which you did - , one key recover and recover disks won't work on your system.

contact lenovo support to ship your laptop to resettings the hard disk volumes for defaults.

I have been playing with partitions for a while, extending, creating, deleting, extending.... Anyways, the point is, now I have 4 partitions, one of which is Winodws 7, the other one is the drivers, another one created by me as document, and a fourth one the OEM partition. The OEM partition is like any other partition. When i start onekey recovery and want to boot from it, it says the partition is unavailable and cannot be detected. When i load linux and set this partition as the boot one, it boots into it and starts CMD, not the usual wizard that helps me do what I need to do.

Anyways, how do I get OneKey Recovery to recognize this partition again?

The Windows copy that I have is a clean install, not OEM.

due to you resized your volumes, one key recover won't work.

- you can ship your laptop back to lenovo support line to reset your harddisk to default

- if you have recovery dvds, you can use it ( may work ) but you also may need to resize the volumes to defaults.

Hi, I am new here and believe me or not I read most of the previous topic, but I still have a question.

I have a brand new lenovo Z460 - i5 - 4GB W7 Home Basic 64, but I'd like to run Ubuntu, and have a separated partion for my personal data instead of mantain all in the same partition for Windows

So just in case I have created the 3 DVDs recovery system, and tested them to turn the z460 to the factory default again, and it works well... but I let the partitions untouched at that test.

My question is simple:

If I recreate the whole partion table, can I use the DVDs to recovery the factory default condition? Trying to be more clear... the DVDs will recreate the same partions on the disk? Someone tested it?

as i know, recovery discs doesn't/won't partition the volumes.

if you edit the partitions and want to use one key recover again, you have to re-edit partitions as the same size as they are before.
