try to burn recovery discs under windows then.

Well then, i still need a software that can make a backup of my windows installation.

I tried using windows backup, but 7 DVD discs later its still only 75% done. I dont know HOW it did this....the laptop comes with approx 23GB of system files and DVDs have more than 4 GB of space each. 7 DVDs should have been more than enough to make a backup of it.

try to use compression method or burn factory default backups.

if you have videos and installed lots of applications ( games ) on your hard then trying to burn the current system's backup, it's normal.

I have a 400GB+ C drive and a D drive that is 20gb and labelled lenovo. Should the D drive be hidden? I am still unable to make a factory default disk. What could be the problem? Did windows 7 disable the recovery partition?

or can i just boot up into the onekey recovery after shutdown and press system restore. will it work?

there's another partition that is hidden. ( instead of d )

windows 7 installation may corrupt okr system. if he made changes on volumes, as i said before, okr won't work.

( possible he deleted the hidden okr volume )

how can i check the partition? you mean drive c and d cannot be resized too? what should be the correct size of all the drives? I have a 500gb hard drive.

Most partitioning software doesn ’t know about this partition ID and when you change partition information , such as by adjusting partition sizes or creating a new partition , that ID gets reset to something the partitioning software knows about. That stops the OKR key working ." so maybe win7 changes the partition id for the partition? My friend told me he has nvr touched the partition so this might be the problem/ or even used the software before. So will this work? ( I'll wait till you give me the go ahead before trying)

Hi all,

Just got my U460 system couple weeks ago.  Wanted to create recovery disc so I can put another harddrive in.  I used an external dvd burner and OneKey Recovery console said that it would take 3 4.7GB discs.  However, the process was "completed" after burning 2 disc.

When I try to boot from the first of the 2 disc, the reading would halt and after some time, it'll say that the disc is not bootable.  I tried it again thinking that my dvd might be bad but the same thing happen to anther set of recovery disc.

I wonder if anyone has experienced the same problem and if a solution has been sought.

it's possible not both of the discs are bootable. ( the first one is bootable )

even if you burn the discs, they may not work on new harddisc.

try easeaus disc copy.
