Y560 - Partitions - Ubuntu - 200 MB partition

Allright,

First, I've had read too many pages about the OKR and disk partitions.  I could care less about OKR working.  I am using CloneZilla to backup my Windows OS partition completely.

My question is this, I know I can delete the 'hidden' partition that has all the drivers on it (currently is 14.75GB). 

I have already successfully resized my C (Windows) to be 86GB & my D drive (FILES) to be 366GB.

What is up with the little 200MB partition?  It's rather annoying b/c of the partition limits we have with windows & NTFS. Can I delete it,or merge it?  I've seen some talk of this but nothing definitive enough for my liking.

I am going to dual-boot with linux and shares the NTFS files partition to save all my J.  It would be nice to have 2 partitions available to play with in Linux to give me the flexibility there.

you can delete the hidden partition.
the 200 mb partition includes system and boot files that windows needs to work properly. do not delete that partition.

I deleted that lenovo partition, shrank my files D partition, and left about 40GB for my linux partition. I am now copying my ~200GB of data back onto my new D partition =]

If I understand correctly, you can create one partition (extended), in which other partitions can be created for system/swap etc.

if you make changes on volumes, okr will stop working.
it seems you already made partitions ( i don't think y560 comes with 3 volumes, as i know system ( c ) and data ( d ) volumes only )

yes I have made change my volumes with paragon partiton tools successfully

and OKR is orking correctlly

but I afraid that if I installing Windows XP on drive D, this cause the boot sector of HDD only load from drive D and the OKR feature failed to load

Is there any one that installed XP on Y560?

please confirm, you mean okr button or application? cause i know and read, even the okr runs the applications, recovery process will fail.

i'm not sure if it's gonna work but you can try to install xp first, then use okr function to install windows 7, then you can exit boot.ini.

Hey, i was wondering if i could use the one-key partition for a second OS (i was thinking of ubuntu) and so use the one-key button as a second power-button...

Is it possible to do this?
