notebooks resume after open lid

hi,

     my laptop, a z470, when is sleeping (but no hibernated) resumes everytime i open the lid.

i would like to resume the laptop when i press the power button instead.

any clue how that can be achieved?

Hi G,

please go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\System Settings 

and choose what action you want from 'When I close the lid' and 'When I press the power button' menu.

G... then just select from the menu the action you want, e.g. 'Do nothing'!
