u400 - Full screen games choppy

I know I should be getting better performance in full screen mode but thats not the case in many of the games I have installed. They run choppy in full screen mode and smooth in window mode. I have tried messing with the power settings and energy management settings but it doesnt seem to change anything ? anyone else having this issue

can you tell us which model of graphic card you have and the games you are trying to play.

Games 

Dragon Age, Skyrim and a few others. 

I know the graphics card isnt the best but on low detail I get decent FPS. Its not the fps that's the problem but its just not smooth in full screen mode. Its choppy even with fps in the 40-60 range. Its almost like a lag every few seconds.

Yes, I've been reading the y570 thread and people having this issue even though its a differnt video card I have the exact symptoms as them. Maybe I'll try a couple of the solutions posted there.
