Purchased y560 8gb i7, on 4th Oct 2010 - rec'd 8th. Model 0646c
Display is VERY GOOD - no problems at all, like other machines purchased 2/3/4 months ago.
Did Windows Updates. Just used Lenovo SMART DOWNLOADER for Lenovo Updates.
(Let the system take care of itself). Other people's problems seem to be from downloading
everything on the downloads page, Not sure about that.
Problem here seems not to be Lenovo, but to be Windows or Radeon 5730 will not accept / play
Open GL at all.
case # WN 264532 is with Tech support..
Went to ATI site & got new Catalyst, new uwc? 322mb file, changed cfg workaround to True.
No difference - so MS or ATI driver issue.
What does everyone else do to run OpenGL?
Any One got any ideas.?

I always use Urban Terror 4.1
This is the most expensive Laptop I ever purchased;
and the only machine in the last couple of years that wouldn't run it! HA.

Many thanks for the reply.
Yes, saw that snippet; but as progran will not initially install, it wil not create that cfg file in the first place,
I suppose..It's not in the directory. Do a script in Autuexec to my own config file.
I ran this on an Ubuntu 10.04, an XP, and a Toshiba in UK,recently with no problem. Also on a gamers Home - Bru Desktop here which had the Radeon 4850 Graphics or whatever. Anyway, the one below this 5730.
I'll have to construct that cfg file, then do the script mod, and try that. Thanks for the idea.
It seems Y560 runs just about all OpenGL, but this is an oddball style with the Glide functions etc, which
AMD Radeon won't support. ioQuake is probably the reason.I need to do a sudo apt-get PLAY!!!!! HA ! Thanks.

I tinkered with the game script, and got it going. What a Hoo-Ha. Nothing to do with Lenovo.
I must say these Y560 Screens are SUPERB. Probably their Quality Control has improved,
as this is a very latest batch machine
