y570 System Resume Fail

Up until a couple of weeks ago each time my computer would shut off after a period of inactivity the system resume option whenever I would turn it back on fails, it freezes on the Windows logo and fails to load. As of late even Starting up my computer freezes, I'm forced to restart my machine and system restore is a temporary fix.

For starters which OS are you using?If it is Windows 7 you can make a system repair disk(you can make one if you have access to another computer)

Boot from the disk and let windows automatically repair if it finds any errors.Let me know if this helps.

I'm using Windows7, and I've never really tried fixing errors that way. I've tried doing a system scan to detect any errors, but it keeps telling me there's nothing wrong.

and no, that wasn't in the least helpful. I keep reading answers of repairing but windows doesn't find any errors, also the fact that I don't have another computer available.
