hey Zehn, I couldn't help noticing your battery capacity. Where could you get a battery with a capacity ten times bigger than the standard battery?![]()

Hi Blue,
that was a lie...
old reading was almost 200 W/h, what a dream battery.
I'm now using the new version of Hardware Monitor and my battery capacity
is around 60 W/h.
To be precise... nominal 5200 mA/h x 11 V = 57200 mW/h.
savvy?... Zehn

battery capacity is in mAh or mWh, not mW/h ![]()
wait, now I'm confused ![]()
your battery capacity is at 60653 mWh, while click0230 and rkdeane are at 6216mWh and 5616 mWh, as shown on CPUID HW monitor capture.
Mine is the same as rkdeane.
I think the there's a confusion between mAh and mWh at battery capacity unit in CPUID HW Monitor ![]()
thanks for the explanation anyway![]()

Blue...
you are correct, it should be Wh as a unit of energy, W/h refers to the change of power per hour.
I believe most laptop battery packs have a capacity of about 40 to 60 Wh so the HW Monitor
readout from Y570 machines is false.
Could you test your Y570 with another System Information software?
I'm curious... Zehn

I tried using AIDA64, the result is the same ![]()

Hi Harsh,
touch buttons are managed by Energy Management, please try if this may fix the problem...
download appropriate Lenovo Energy Management Software first...
http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/in/en/DriversDow
go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features and UN-install Energy Management...
shut down then start your Y570 and install the program anew...
BTW... have you cleaned your cooling system recently? Please look here...
hope it helps... Zehn

thanx zehn,
the driver reinstalling worked.the touch buttons are now working properly..Another question, what should be the mode of the fan on? there seems to be 4 options the silent mode b the name itself sugest it wont be good for gaming. should i keep it on normal or efficient thermal mode?

Harsh... happy it works now
,
I would opt for efficient cooling, while gaming at least...
happy computing... Zehn
