Downloaded new drivers directly from realtek (which were released on 30.03.2012) and that annoying noise disappeared. These drivers even 'know' about SRS, so everything works fine with them. Problem solved at last, at least for me. Hope that these drivers will help others having the same problem too.

I had this annoying buzzing sound in the background with my headphones plugged in for half a year.

Tried several Audio Drivers from the Lenovo Support Centre but they didn't help.
Right after installing the Realtek HD Audio 3.70 (dated 22 June 2012) the problem went away.
Now my headphones remain silent if no audio is fed into the jack-port and there is no buzzing with the low volume sounds. Kudos!
