Hi everyone,

 

I ordered an Ideapad Y550 on 11/14/09 and the shipping date was estimated to be 11/24/09. Over the past few days I have been checking up on the status of my order and the shipping date changes from 11/24 to 11/25 then back to 11/24 and back to 11/25. It seems that Lenovo themselves cannot agree on what the shipping date is. Has this happened to anyone before?

After reading about all the horror stories of lenovo shipping and their failure to fulfill their orders on time, do you guys think that my laptop will actually  be shipped on time? Thanks for all your help!

I was wondering I had two orders on one account but i paid with different credit cards. My first order was placed on my card on the 11/11 and it was PENDING on my bank account.  Lenovo emailed me about my 2nd purchase that i made with a different card, had the wrong billing address.  So my friend had call in to correct it, well it was somewhat right still the wrong billing address.

BUT

After he called in the customer serviced changed both billing address, the order is still "in process" i am wondering if having the wrong billing address would it effect my order?

I also have not received a email about the wrong billing address, should i be worried?

Update on my refurbished Y450 order... Lenovo sent me an email yesterday saying my order was shipped. I checked on UPS and I'm glad it's on transit but it didn't say what day it will be delivered. I used the UPS estimated shipping calculator and from NC, it might get delivered to me here in IL by Tuesday. It's a good thing they have shipped it or else I would have really cancelled my order. I was ready to buy the Sony Vaio laptop yesterday because I thought I would have to wait another 7 to 12 business days for my order according to Lenovo Customer Service that I talked to. I just hope everything will be fine with the Y450 I have ordered. I'm really worried about buying refurbished product especially if they are expensive. I don't want to pay restocking fee. Good luck to all who are still waiting for their order. This will be my last time to order from Lenovo online. Next time I'll buy in store. I will definitely not recommend to my family and friends to buy from Lenovo unless they're willing to wait for a long time to receive their purchased item.

Ordered my Y550 on 11/11.

 

Original shipping date was 11/19.

 

On 11/20, the expected shipping date was changed to 11/27 (based on what I am seeing, the biggest factor would be due to the Vista/7 issue, which is an unfortunate, but completely understandable delay).

 

Lo and behold, I got an automated email from Lenovo 28 minutes ago stating that my order has shipped (Lenovo system is still showing 11/27 - in process, and the IBM system is down for a scheduled outage).

I was relatively okay with the resolution up until today.  I'm pissed off now.  I ordered back on Oct 28th and after Vista was mistakenly installed instead of Win7 returned it and was promised a ship date of Nov25.  My ship date of Nov 25 has now been moved to Dec 4.   What kind of service and support is this?  I'm seriously considering canceling the order entirely.

I am extremely upset too. I placed my order on 11/14/09 and now my estimated ship date got bumped from 11/27/09 to 12/7/09!!

 

Mark, please make some magic happen. I, too, am on the edge of cancelling my entire order..

I ordered a preconfigured  Y450 Ideapad notebook 2 days back. Was just curious to know how long does Lenovo take to ship the order. I have a 2 day business shipping. My estimated ship date is 12/7/09. Any cases where it has been shipped before the estimated ship date?

no the date is very accurate do not expect any sooner than that date

There are certainly cases where the order gets shipped before the estimated date given to you. For one, mine did. The problem with this thread is it's specifically for shipping problems and as such no one around here is going to be singing the praises of Lenovo's shipping.

 

Some people don't understand that if Lenovo had shipping problems on a majority of it's orders, this thread would be something like 20000 pages long at the very least. See as you purchased a preconfigured model, I doubt they'll have a problem filling your order. Try not to listen to all of the pessimists that troll around here :smileywink:
