Weird additional startup programs & commands for Y430-5232U?

[ Edited ]
Hey everyone. I bought this laptop about 3 weeks ago, and I absolutely like this product. First of all, the keyboard simply feels amazing. It is very strong, quiet, and has excellent push back action. IMHO, I think Lenovo makes one of the best keyboards on a notebook. The performance is also quite good. Very fast and responsive. Love the screen too. The design is one of the slickest ever.

However, I was about to uninstall some startup programs & other pre-installed software when I noticed some applications and settings looking quite strange. First, I uininstalled some programs that I could not find ANY information on. It seems they also looked quite suspicious, but at the same time they seem to be installed on all the other same laptop models as this one. So I uninstalled in the CP:

SwelCntr

As well, I did a startup search. And these items looked suspicious & strange:

"331BigDog" with the shortcut of C:\Windows\VM331_STI.exe (Made by Vmicro?????)
& a "C:\windows\test.bat" command with the shortcut file of "run unattached0000000001"

I have no clue what these 3 programs/startup scripts mean. I uninstalled and removed them from startup. They're on my computer and another exactly same computer (my cousin bought exact same model as mine). I am pretty sure they're on all the same Lenovo models. However, everything else looks to be running fine, but only time will tell. Anyways, anyone have the same problems as me? Or have tried to uninstall them with no problems? Or can relate to what they do exactly?

Other than that, the laptop is excellent. I just wish Lenovo would tell me what they add on the programs and startup because it doesn't sound like they're necessary components. They just sound suspicious. Thanks!

I think it's "TmlCMode" rather than "TnlCMode".  That is the Thermal Control Mode button.  The small fan symbol in the inductive control area above the keyboard.

I saw a device manufactured by ViMicro when I was installing the XP drivers, but I don't remember which device that was.

"The small fan symbol in the inductive control area above the keyboard" is a btton to switch between equaliser mode and playback mode of touch inductive buttons, if you mean button with two arrows. My apologies if I'm wrong.

It looks like a fan with four "wings".  When I press it a small icon is displayed on the screen. The icon alternates between a static fan and a rotating fan every time the inductive button is pressed.

Not sure about the purpose of this "feature".

A picture and description (in Chinese) can be found at http://appserver.lenovo.com.cn/product_detail.aspx?gdsId=A0300007229  at the top right of the description area.

After translating the description with Google, the button seems to alternate the system between thermal modes.  I guess it allows the user to throttle back the system when he/she wants the system to be quiet, i.e. fan off.

I don't know if this is really that useful since the fan is pretty quiet anyway.

Re: Weird additional startup programs & commands for Y430-5232U?

Well, you guys are definitely right! TmlCMode is the "thermal control mode" implemented by Lenovo. I went back to the Y430 IdeaPad downloads page from the Lenovo website and re-installed it again. And yup, it appeared back again in the CP & startup commands. I guess we got that one out of the way. Thanks.

Anyhow, I wonder what the other programs/run scripts are...

Kabigon - Were you able to remove SwelCntr?  I am not able to.  Do you know what its purpose is?  It takes up 11 GB on my Y430.
