Please help! I have a Thinkpad A31p workstation with an ATI Mobility Fire GL 7800 video card. The card is capable of Open Graphics Library 1.3. I need a driver that will upgrade it to work in Open GL 1.4. Anyone know if such a driver update exists. I called ATI but they say only Lenovo can provide the driver update.

I am running Windows XP Professional. Open GL: GL stands for Graphics Library. Open GL is used by Windows OS, Mac OS, Unix OS and Linux OS. Currently OGL is at version 2.0. My video card driver supports OGL 1.3. I am looking for a driver for my video card that sits in an IBM (now Lenovo) Thinkpad A31p (a workstation in the form of a laptop computer) that supports OGL 1.4. Better yet, a driver for my video card that supports OGL 2.0 and all version subsequent to version 1.3. ATI tells me that only IBM or Lenovo can provide an updated driver. Please, could you help me now? Thanks for your help.
OK, I see what you're saying...well, the latest drivers on the site are dated 2007-9-19, so I don't know whether these would be recent enough for what you need.
Now, maybe you can help me: I've been through hundreds (literally) of A31p units over the last six years, and currently own three. What would you, me, or whoever, be gaining by installing these drivers? What type of application/program would they be beneficial for?
Have you tried Googling to locate these drivers, BTW?

None of the drivers on the Lenovo site help. The OGL 1.4 is required for working in 3D in Photoshop. Good idea to google it. It would probably be a home coded driver. As long as it works it won't matter. Thanks for your help.
