I'm rebuilding my 600E from the Product Recovery disk (WinNT). This rebuild needs a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). The COA came as a separate insert with the computer, not as a stick-on on the underneath. The COA insert was lost some time ago. I think the COA needs to come from IBM (back in the Feb 99 days) rather than Microsoft, as it is an OEM COA. There are no user-created recovery disks, since those were tossed when the machine was upgraded to XP (this was a corporate upgrade, and had to be removed when corporate life was no longer relevant).
Does anyone know how to dig up this COA?

Lenovo or IBM can't help you with these COA, you have to figure that out from your end.

The machine was purchased via the IBM EPP back in the spring of '99. I was hoping that somewhere there might be some sort of record..... Or maybe some basis for appeal, if I could figure out whom to appeal to..

IBM or Lenovo doesn't keep a record of your COA.
What is the point of appealing, if they don't keep your COA and any installation discs would have been chucked in the recycle bin years ago.
