A31p, S-Video in?

How to get s-video in working in A31p? I have installed latest drivers, but that doesn't help at all. I tried with Windows Media Encoder and DScaler, but all I can capture is just black? How to get capture working? I contacted IBM/Lenovo support by mail in the end of last year (first mail was on october if I remember right). They quickly answered that I should try newest drivers, which I already have. The later on I have pushed about 5 mails, but no answer. I have to say that IBM/Lenovo support is so miserable! At least I would expect that someone answers, but no. I thought that IBM/Lenovo is trustful brand and you can get support for it, but I was totally wrong. No answers on two months even if you ask severally. Poor poor poor!

Did you ever try Google for your problem? Most answers are out there!
I found this in about 2 seconds...

Re: A31p, S-Video in?

What software are you using to capture and display the S-Video input?

Re: A31p, S-Video in?

to JHEM: As I said already, I have tried DScaler and Windows Media Encoder. Both of them detects the tv capture device, which is Philips branded (PHILDECN). But if I try to for example connect my Nokia 230T using scart to s-video and 2xrca, I can't capture any video. Only black is shown in both applications. I don't know what to do, should I configure something or should it work straight away when just selecting the capture device?

to RealBlackstuff: I have googled several hours and I can find something related to "s-video in" in A31p, but the problem is that there are no detailed information what to do if you have only black when trying to capture. I think DScaler and Windows Media Encoder should capture "out-of-the-box", but not for me. So I'm stucked..

Re: A31p, S-Video in?

The 'only black' should give a hint.
Are you mixing NTSC, SECAM and/or PAL signals?
SECAM will show in black on a PAL system.
Check that all equipment has the same signal settings.

And I believe that the display resolution needs to be reduced to 800X600.
