CD and DVD rom not functioning

My Thinkpad z60m 2530-38U, I upgraded it to Vista Home Premium and to a bigger hard disk; everything worked fine, until I noticed that I am unable to read or write CD's or DVD's. I have obtained help from this forum before, and I'd appreciate if anybody can share with me a possible solution for this problem. Thanks

Try reseating the drive first. Then go to this Microsoft site and run the "FixIt" utility:
