Will upgrading to Windows XP-64 bit allow upgrade to 2 GB ?

I have a IBM G40 with  XP 32 bit Wndows OS that I have recently upgraded to 1 GB RAM. Will upgrading to 64 bit allow me to go upto 2 GB?

Re: Will upgrading to Windows XP-64 bit allow upgrade to 2 GB ?

Your machine's CPU doesn't support a 64-bit operating system.

You'll be able to max out that G40 with 2x1GB of RAM regardless of the OS that you're running.

Happy upgrading.

Cheers,

George
