Z61m

I just  bought a Z61m and, of course, have a lot of initial minor problems. One of them: my laptop 'goes to sleep' after a couple of minutes and I have to re-start it by signing in with my password. How can I make sure it stays open longer and is it possible to  bypass the signup with a password?

Those things, like the sleep time behaviour etc. can usually be adjusted under the operating systems enhanced power management settings. Take a look here...

...and try to adjust the settings to your needs.

Re: Z61m

I've forgotten to mention, that you may also want to take a look into your Thinkpad power manager software, which should have been preinstalled on your Thinkpad.  See...
