Report says you have 1 GB ram.
Put the 2 GB ram in slot that 1 GB is in now,
than you should show 2 GB?

@ duck3
there was similar issue on this forum earlier, when another user tried to install 2 g & 1gb it didn't work but when he/she installed the ram sticks separately, it worked. i think it's main-board or bios but let's wait his response.
@ rmaruri
please confirm that your ram stick specifications are the same as speed.

I have placed 2GB RAM instead of 1GB ram. It worked. Now the systems detects 2GB RAM. I have used only one slot. Other slot is free.
As Yigit said, When I am using both 1GB and 2GB RAM's system doesn't start. seems like some issue.
I should have tried this.
If I have another 1GB then I should have confirmed whether my slot is having issue or 1GB and 2GB doesn't support.
Thanks a lot. Appreciate it.

@ Yigit
Let me know the forum link.
I will also track it. If any BIOS upgrade is required, I will also follow the same approach.

I am having 120GB hard disk. I am planning to upgrade it to 320GB. It has been suggested in the forum that my laptop supports 320GB. Can you please also confirm the same or let me know how/where to check for the same?
Waiting for your response.
Thanks
