3000 n100 0768a56 win xp : display problem

Hi All and specially Dave :-)

The problem is Whenever some video is goin on . the system just shuts down after few minutes following a weird display . 

Any solutions if this problem turns out again .

so the problem still persists . and the error message is as follows .

ialmrnt5 display driver stopped working  etc etc .

Try:
Find Display Driver on computer or from Lenovo Support.

Boot in Safe Mode (Pressing F8 key at Lenovo logo)

Uninstall Display Driver (Control Panel-Add Remove Programs)

Re-install Display Driver.

thanks . i already tried this uninstallation and installation of the driver twice and even i tried working without the display driver  but still after some time of video running  the system jus gives a weird display and i have to restart .

Hi ketan_sood,

You might want to consider a Bios upgrade on your machine. If i'm not mistaken there was a critical Bios update that was release. I'd suggest to try that first.

Yes the driver is Mobile Intel 945 GM express chipset family.

I updated the following driver .

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS000968

but i m not sure is this right for my configuration . because in system information its showing BIOS Version / date : Lenovo 61ET37WW , 6/4/2007 . Version 2.4
