3000N 100 (0769-dlu) DVD drive

I am working on a 0768-DLU the bios does not show the DVD writer. I have updated the bios but it still does not show. I have tried 3 other drive still not there, Has any on came across this problem? If so please help me fix this problem I have ran out of ideas. Thanks
