if you don't want it, you can uninstall it from control panel.... if you want to temporary disable it, go to bootmgr by searching it on your hdd under start, then deselect thinkvantage access under startup programs list.
Or if you use Vista, go to control panel, windows defender -> tools -> software explorer -> show for all users -> disable the Thinkvantage Access.

Can you please elaborate with more detailed instructions?
What is the bootmgr? Startup Program list?
I am about to install a Linksys router with a desktop pc and will be using Lenovo Vista and Win 7 laptops wirelessly.
The following page on Linksys suggests uninstalling ThinkVantage Access Connections.
However, I would prefer to disable it in case I wish to use it again.
Can you please suggest step-by-step instructions? I am reasonably adept at pcs, though I am unfamiliar with the bootmgr and startup programs.

ACWLIcon.exe in bootmgr - is that it?
