I have a week-old B575 with a fresh install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Besides common issues with the wireless card that I was able to work around, I am also unable to shut down the operating system without it hangling. Every time the system attempts to shut down or reboot, the screen turns black with the LED power button lit, and the fans running. The only way out is to hold down the power button to force a system halt.
I am not the only one who has reported this issue. Does anyone know of a workaround?

No, I only tried the 64-bit Professional and Home Premium versions, because I need 64-bit support for the software I use at work. To clarify, the laptop comes from the factory with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit version installed, and the factory image works flawlessly. I have restored a couple times to check my sanity and verify that it does indeed work. I'm simply looking for whatever extra hotfix, driver or workaround Lenovo includes in their default system image that they're not making available via their website.

I have used both the drivers from the factory image, and the drivers from the Lenovo website. Other than issues with the wireless card (detailed in another post), the only other issue that persists is this power down and rebooting issue.

No, each time the system is restored to the factory image of the same operating system (Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit), it does not exhibit the same behavior with wireless or powering down/rebooting.

In each case, a clean installation.
