Hi there.
I have a G550 20023 with a broken and I attached an external monitor to its VGA port.
Problem is that external monitor is active when Windows 7 has been loaded the VGA driver,
so I can't get into BIOS setup or boot menu.
Is it possible to change the primary and secondary role of displays so that the external monitor to be activated on system power up?
I found the Lenovo's LCD socket on the board which name is JLVDS1.
What its pinout config?

Have seen this problem before, Lenovo sometimes has
"LCD only" as default in bios setup. Strange.
Lenovo has some bios simulators, but seem to be only
for Thinkpad models.
Other laptop manufacturers, Toshiba for instance, have
bios access utilities for Windows. Have not seen the
same with Lenovo.
*Maybe someone can help with a "blind" walkthrough to
change to Auto or similar?
Simple solution is replace the screen. Not the lowest cost
though!

If someone do this, it'll be a great help.
Or a link to BIOS menu structure and pictures.
I've searched for it in G550 manuals and user guides but I don't find anything useful.
Thanks for your reply.

Hi there.
I have a 20023 G550 with a broken LCD so I can't change bios settings.
Could someone do me a favor and take some pictures from same model's menus?
Or is there any illustrated instructions or user manual for bios setup?
Thanks in advance.
