Hi,
my Lenovo 3000 V100 came with Windows Vista, however in our company we have to use WinXP. After more than 3 years I have deiced to reinstall the system, but now I can't get fingerprint to work. With the driver posted on the web, fingerprint is not detected. I'd like to download the older driver, but don't now how, or where. Can anyone help?
It is this driver, but in version 6.705.4.0 for win XP.

Thanks for quick reply.
I've already tried SW for Lenovo V200, but with no success. (I've already tried SW for other laptops than Lenovo using the same senzor, but with the same result).
If the fingerprint didn't work just before the reinstallation, I would say there is some HW issue.

have you tried this driver?

Sure, this is the one offered directly for Lenovo 3000 V100.
It creates Trueprint sensor icon in Control panel, however it says "No sensor found". I even tried to manually add new hardware and force to use the driver, than is the device shown in device manager with yellow exclamation mark as not working properly.

I have a clear installation image, which I restore after any unsuccessful attempt.
I am not able to install the driver in Safe mode. During instlallation I receive error message: "This installation is forbidden by system policy" Eventlog shows this "The installation of %1 is not permitted due to an error in software restriction policy processing. The object cannot be trusted."
However there are no restrictions - it is completely new installation, I think the driver is not designed to be installed in safe mode, because there aren't any similar error in eventlog when installed in normal mode.

- in the device manager "authentec inc." device under the universal serial bus controllers.
- open this device and pressed the "update driver" in the 'driver" tab; then install the driver for the finger print.
- as result, the system recognize this device as personal identification device; and finger print works properly
please, try the suggestion above and check your bios settings for finger print ( if is activated )
