Fingerprint lockout

Lenovo n100 0768-6EU laptop --

I'm not sure what happened, but

• after doing a Spybot update & scan (which found about 10 malware spywares to remove),
• installation of AVG 8.0. 
• Upon reboot, the fingerprint system (which was never set up or used), locks anyone out from logging onto their XP account on the laptop. 
  
  • It's like all of a sudden it thinks the fingerprint scan is required. 

Is there a way to disable or workaround the fingerprint scan lockout?

Have you tried booting in safe mode and uninstallign the Omnipass soft and Fingerprint itself from Devicw Manager?

Ctrl+Alt+Del should bring up the username/password thingy.....it surpasses the fingerprint reader, at least for me.
