I am stumped with my screen problem and need advice.
Problem:
Vertical line on screen
Shimmering poorly focused graphics
Have changed LCD screen twice
Have changed video cable and inverter
Bios latest. Memory OK
Screen on attached VGA absolutely normal and laptop functions normally even when using intensive applications.
Where do I go from here?

Yigit,
Thanks for your answer. I have already reinstalled graphics drivers and cheched my Ram. I could accept a fault on the mobo but laptop works perfectly with the attached vga screen!

Yigit,
I have actually replaced the screen twice and the shimmering, wobliness and vertical line has been present in all instances. Have booted in safe mode before. No luck. Could well be a screen problem but it's getting hold of yet another screen to test without having to buy yet another! Sigh....
Someone out there experienced the same problem?

Yigit!
If only that were the case! It's out of warranty. Guess I am stuck with the bottom half of my laptop stuck to a top half of an attached external monitor. It'a a wide screen 19" so all is not lost but the set up looks untidy!
The unit is only 18months old. I bought this laptop because of Lenovos supposedly solid reputation. Guess I shall look at an alternative laptop manufacturer next time.

Too late to get extended warranty.
No HDMI connection on computer. I really need someone with experience of a similar (but fixed) problem to guide me as to what to do next. I have pretty much explored most avenues and reached a dead end. I have replaced a couple of laptop motherboards with success but will replace mobo only as a last resort

Maybe you should send the mobo to an advanced laboratory to avoiding headaches.
